Black nylon casters are fiberglass reinforced to increase capacity and reduce friction when rolling. Nylon casters are lightweight, and the load capacity of nylon casters is comparable to that of most metal wheels. They don't form a flat place. In wet and corrosive applications where chemical resistance and higher load capacity are required, nylon casters are a better choice.

Rigid casters are casters that stay in one position. They don't swivel like a swivel caster. Rigid casters give you great stability, but don't give you the mobility advantages that swivel casters give you. For best results, most customers will use a combination of swivel casters and rigid casters that give them the most favorable combination of stability and maneuverability.
